Frank Bott House, Kansas City, Missouri

Beautiful Rumblestone and steel house.

Built in the usonian style, the 1955 Frank Bott house is supposedly still owned by the original owner’s family.  There isn’t much of a view of the home from the street, but you get a great view of the rumble stone wall.

Desert Rumble Stone transplanted to Missouri

The home is built on the side of a hill that overlooks the whole town of Kansas City.  It is perfectly located in a small neighborhood that has quite small lots.  The homes are close together, yet this is the one house that seems to offer some sense of privacy.  The glass is all aimed in the right direction and the overhanging eaves give a great sense of private space.
