Early Morning Ride |
8am is early. Way too freaking early for me after the kind of week that I had. It was, however, the only time that we had to ride today since many folks had early afternoon committments. So at 8am we were at the Park and Ride across the street from Avalon. We had a date with all the rocks, roots and logs that are a big part of Avalon. This was a cool ride because of the group that we rode with. We had a lot of the normal crew... Jason, Rick, Sarah, David and Chris. We also added in David's buddy Mike and his son, Greg. The cool part was the return to the fold of my pal Chance (aka MPC). He's been renovating is house and hasn't put a leg over a bike in anger in over 5 months. We did our best to hurt him. We didn't come close. He was his normal, good natured self. (We're not going to talk about the time he went "Bad Santa" because his drivetrain was making his life miserable).
We had a killer ride. We stomped up a TON of hills. We went back down them all. We had particular fun riding the race course which is buff and smooth with a few log drops and rock outcroppings.
I snapped photos of some of the big log hops and North Shore sections. I got a few good animations of Chris riding some pretty tough stuff. Enjoy!!!
Here's an animation of my buddy Chris.

EXTREME!!!! ;)
