Day one of our trip started with a warm-up ride on Apex, just west of Denver in the foothills of the rocky mountains. Jason and I had fun playing in the rocks and doing some alpine riding. He hadn't really ridden that kind of trail before. I think he liked it. Though ridden heavily, Apex is an amazing trail that has a little bit of challenge for most people. The best part is the switchbacks. They're amazing and challenging.
